Apartasuites San Marcos

I came with different expectations, and the service fell short for me. The TV remote was broken, there's no elevator, and I have to switch off the air conditioning myself. I've stayed in Cali for less money in a really nice downtown place that included breakfast. Service should be good before, during, and after the stay.

The hotel's security felt very strict at first: we had to ring the bell every time we came or went because we weren't given a key. After a while, though, we appreciated the precautions, especially in a city like Cali where there's a lot of violence. The staff were friendly, and our room was large and very clean, with a kitchenette, bathroom, and hot water.

The suites have lots of useful extras, including a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, sandwich maker, and stove. There's air conditioning, plus a terrace with a large TV and Xbox you can use for free. The place is in a great location, and the check-in and check-out times are convenient. It's affordable, tidy, clean, welcoming, and stocked with many everyday essentials. Customer service was excellent and helpful. There's so much more on offer that I can't list it all. I'd happily come back again and again, and highly recommend it.

The hotel is quite far from the historic center, and it would be useful if the staff had some command of English. The employees were friendly and helpful, though. The equipment was good, but the bathroom shower sprayed water everywhere, and switching on the bathroom light also started an irritating motor noise. I don't think it would be ideal for older people.
