Cali River Suites

The host was welcoming and easy to reach. On my last night I locked myself out, and although there’s no 24-hour concierge, getting replacement keys from the host was simple. Booking through Expedia was fairly straightforward too. The rooms had clean, modern furnishings, though I would’ve liked more towels. My first night was rough: a very large bug raced across the bed while I was in it. I’d never seen one that big move so fast. I managed to record it before going after it, then sent the video to the host. They moved me to another room the next day.

I felt like royalty in this well-equipped apartment. The kitchen had what I needed, and the building felt very secure in a quiet neighborhood. It’s close to everything, with a nice mall and good supermarket just a five-minute walk away, while still being away from downtown’s craziness. My first room had an issue with the mini split air conditioner, but Enrique responded quickly and moved me to a larger, nicer room for the rest of my stay.

For a longer stay, book the whole period early if you can. Changing rooms later can be a hassle, and you’ll have to pay another cleaning fee for the new room. The apartment has new, modern amenities, and it’s easy to get a taxi with Yango, InDrive, or Uber. It’s also close to a shopping mall and Cali’s main square.

We really liked the bedding, and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The room was modern and tidy, with a large closet, hair dryer, and iron. Enrique was a great host and let us check in two hours early. We had 24/8 access. Amazing stay!
