The location was the hostel’s strongest point. It’s well connected to the rest of the city, close to lively Granada and the pretty streets of San Antonio. There are free salsa lessons daily at 4 PM, but otherwise there isn’t much of a social scene. The volunteers were inconsistent: a few were genuinely friendly, while others barely greeted me and made me feel unwelcome. The older woman on morning duty was especially unpleasant, brushing off questions and problems in a condescending way. It was okay for two nights, but I wouldn’t return. I’d pay a little more to stay elsewhere.

I wouldn’t recommend this hostel. The beds are more like cots than proper mattresses, and there’s no hot water. One night my friend came back without me, and the security guard wouldn’t let her in because the reservation wasn’t recorded. That felt dangerous. The hostel should keep track of its own guests instead of leaving that to us.

I checked in and left right away because it was so bad. The bathroom was horrible, and there were homeless people living inside. Avoid this place.

Even though I had a reservation, they told me they were full when I arrived by Uber from the terminal. The guys at reception were kind and spoke English, so I’m giving one extra star for that.

I had the private room, and it was super comfortable, with its own entrance right beside the main hostel entrance. It’s a studio with a little kitchen and table, a fan, good Wi-Fi, a cold-water shower, a towel, and a comfy bed up in the raised area. The hostel’s larger kitchen has a fridge, and there’s a hammock, couch, and chairs on the terrace. Very laid-back atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
