Now Hotel Cali - Adults Only

I really enjoyed my stay, and the place is nice and feels safe. The staff are attentive too. My one concern was seeing a woman, who I think was the manager, yell at an employee and say unpleasant things to her in front of guests. I was heading down for breakfast and could hear her from a distance. That didn’t seem like the right way to speak to an employee.

The views from the rooftop and the small, comfortable pool are lovely. This boutique hotel has only a few rooms, but the service is great. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautiful, and the food selection, breakfast included, is good and varied. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. The child-free policy is a nice bonus.

We felt safe in the hotel and neighborhood, and it was quiet enough that we slept well. My wife and I had a really enjoyable stay and thought it was great value. The rooftop bar and pool were closed to us because of remodeling, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance, plus a convenience store a block away. Breakfast was included, made to order with a few choices, and much better than a buffet. The staff were lovely, and they all seemed to know who we were. They speak limited English, and our Spanish is just as limited, but we got by fine. There aren’t traditional washcloths, so bring some if you need them. If you’re not traveling alone, ask for at least two room keys, since one controls some of the room’s electricity. The AC stays on. We’d stay again.

The hotel may not be big, but the service ranks among the best I’ve experienced. It felt like home, with a great area to hang out and good value. From the moment we arrived until we left, the staff went out of their way to help. Everyone, from reception and housekeeping to the owners, greeted us with a smile and treated us respectfully. Breakfast was simple but delicious. You can tell the culture starts at the top. Highly recommended. We need more hotels like this!
