Jose understood my situation and let me check in early after I left another hotel where I felt completely uncomfortable. This hotel looked modern and nice from outside, and the room was just as good: comfortable, clean, with air conditioning, a fan, and a private bathroom. Breakfast was included, with coffee, juice, fruit, eggs, and toast, and it was really good. The location inside the historic center is convenient but the street is quiet. Jose and his partner were always at the front desk, and the lobby door stayed locked, which made us feel safe. The price was reasonable too. I'd book here again.

The staff are the reason I loved this little boutique hotel. In all my years traveling, I've never met people so friendly and helpful. Bohemia is in Cartagena Histórico's San Diego area, very conveniently placed. San Diego Plaza is a three-minute walk, and the walk to the Central District takes maybe ten minutes and is really interesting. Great value, highly recommend it.

The staff were very friendly, but the floors were really dirty. Street-facing rooms can be incredibly noisy, and there's no soundproofing at all, so after a full day in Cartagena it was hard to relax.
