Isoline made our three days feel like staying in our own vacation home. She was an exceptional host, always there to make things comfortable, attentive to details, and prepared delicious breakfasts each morning. At our request, she also cooked us a wonderful dinner one evening. This hidden gem is right in the heart of Getsemaní, just a block from Plaza de la Trinidad, with the feeling of authentic Cartagena life nearby. The rooms are ideal, and the service is what really sets the place apart. The casa owns a boat that we highly recommend renting for a sunset cruise or a trip to the Rosario Islands. They also arranged a local guide for a walking tour, which was a great way to explore the area. We only wished we could have stayed longer.

I loved the rooftop pool, and the location is unbeatable, right by the city center and marina with lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. My room was beautiful, with elegant furniture and a thoughtful mix of colors and materials that made it feel both refined and comfortable. The staff were kind and respectful. I was especially impressed that they remembered my breakfast preference and checked with me about it every morning.

This was our third stay at Casa El Carretero, and it still feels just as magical. You’re in a prime spot in Cartagena, with plenty to see and do right outside the door. The hospitality staff are some of the friendliest, most helpful people you’ll meet. Can’t wait to come back!

A lot of the tourist spots are easy to reach on foot, and there's a nice plaza just ten steps away. Every room has A/C. The house attendants were especially kind and helpful in the kitchen.

The hospitality made me feel like I was staying with family. Such a lovely boutique hotel, and I'd definitely come back.
