The neighborhood felt safer than the other parts of Bogota we'd been to. There are plenty of restaurants around, though not really places to shop for souvenirs, since it's mostly residential. The hostel kitchen was a mess, with dishes piled up around the faucet and counters, plus food and chicken bones left out. I wouldn't count on being able to use it.

The facilities are kept in great shape, and it felt like being at home. The service was excellent, and Mr. Mauricio's burgers were delicious and fairly priced.

It's a quiet spot that works well for studying or getting away from the city's rush. There's a lovely park outside, and you can hear birds singing in the morning. Compared with Lima at this time of year, the daytime weather is quite cool. Nights are chilly, but I found them just right. The hostel also makes amazing burgers in the evening. Highly recommended.

A big thank you to Eduardo for being so kind and welcoming. The place is cozy and peaceful, away from the bustle, and a great place to unwind. I highly recommend it for the genuine hospitality.
