As a woman traveling solo, I felt safe and looked after from the moment I arrived. The building is secure, and the staff checked on me while I often worked remotely in the lobby. They brought coffee and snacks, adjusted the AC for me, and made sure I was happy with my room. The location was excellent too. I walked back late at night by the clock tower and through the plazas, including after going out and drinking, and felt safe. It gave me real peace of mind. I loved staying here, and there was hot water in the showers!

This place feels like a scam. In two bedrooms, the showers face each other over a low, open wall. You can see the person in the other bathroom, and the opening is about 2 meters wide and a meter tall, with no barrier or security. Someone could even enter the other person's room through it.

From my shower I could see directly into someone else's bathroom and shower, and hear everything happening there. When I raised it with the hotel, they said this was normal in colonial houses. I checked with a few Colombian friends and another hotel, and they said it wasn't normal. I don't expect to have to deal with this on vacation.

Everything is nearby, and the port is an easy walk away. The place feels magical and worked well for business or, in my case, a weekend getaway. I took off a point because there isn't a pool.
