Yonny, the innkeeper, was very hospitable, and the rooms felt classy and comfortable. I stayed for two weeks after spending a week in a Getsemani hostel, deciding the extra space and privacy were worth being farther from the tourist center. A bedside table or even a crate would be handy for drinks or glasses, though. You're in a local neighborhood, and it felt safe. As an English-speaking American woman traveling solo, I went out and blended in without any problems. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, and plenty of people offer rides to el centro on their motorbikes. It's a quiet, tranquil street, with a rooster that screams angrily all day. Very odd, since I'm from the country and my rooster only crows in the morning. Still, that's better than loud horns all day. The Wi-Fi is excellent for remote work. I'll stay here again when I return to Cartagena. Good value for the money.

The rooms are large, clean, and have everything needed to relax. It's good value for money, with a shared kitchen stocked with the utensils you'd need to cook. The location is near the center, so walking is easy and an Uber doesn't cost much. The room just left of reception had a slightly odd smell, possibly from recent renovations. A pool would make the place fantastic. Everything else was great.

The hostel has good facilities, is fairly close to the center, and is reasonably priced. Walking around at night doesn't seem very safe.

It was peaceful and quiet, and the service was excellent. The neighborhood is family-friendly and not far from the center. I was a woman traveling alone and never had a problem or felt uncomfortable, though I'd take the usual precautions and avoid walking alone at night. Walking to the main attractions is easy if you enjoy it, but I'd recommend an Uber for the trip back at night. The spacious room had all the amenities, and the price was fantastic for what you get. Even with the cost of transportation back, it's still much cheaper, and the quiet and service more than make up for it.
