Sheik made a real effort to accommodate our needs and help us enjoy the stay. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful from the start. We were welcomed with a cocktail and shown through the striking architecture to our room. The entrance had a pleasant fragrance, and our room was spacious enough to relax in, with tasteful decor. Even the bathroom had a Japanese toilet. We had a joyful, luxurious stay, and I’m looking forward to coming back. This is one of the few hotels that can still call itself five-star these days.

The street outside is lively and noisy, with lots of bars staying open very late. Inside, though, the hotel was beautiful, and it looked even better in person than in the photos. The staff were incredibly accommodating, the food was delicious, and service was quick and attentive. Sheik, the manager, deserves special thanks for going above and beyond to make everything perfect for our wedding weekend. It was a wonderful place for my wedding guests, and I’d highly recommend it.

The room faced a patio on the ground floor, so even though the hotel is right in the center near restaurants, bars, and places to visit, it was completely peaceful and quiet. After long days exploring Cartagena, coming back to such a comfortable bed was a joy. It’s one of the best beds I’ve ever slept in. The Casona Del Porvenir was beautiful, spotless, and clearly well maintained, with a cozy design and lots of attention to detail. The staff were kind and welcoming. It’s excellent value for the price, and I’ll definitely stay again if I return to Cartagena. Highly recommend it.

Liliana y Aychell made my birthday feel extra special, and the service was great. The hotel’s design mixes modern and traditional touches, with several quiet little places to relax. It’s right in the middle of old town, within walking distance of most attractions. The main downside is that most rooms are quite dark because their windows look into the hotel’s interior.

Please check every detail carefully before booking. We meant to go to Cartagena, Spain, but accidentally reserved this property in Cartagena, Colombia. We reported the mistake immediately, well before the stay, and never used the reservation. We explained the location mix-up right away, and it caused the property no cost or damage. Even so, they refused any refund or goodwill gesture. The response felt unreasonable and deeply unfriendly to customers. There was no flexibility, empathy, or attempt to help with an obvious mistake that had been corrected immediately. We expected some understanding, but got a rigid refusal instead. A very disappointing experience.
