Santa Cecilia Bed & Breakfast

The first room, Room 301, had a very foul mold odor, especially noticeable on the walls and ceiling. I put up with it for a few days, but after we went to Medellin and came back, I couldn't handle it. They said it was our fault because we'd left and the AC was off, though I'd left it on. They did go out of their way to move us to a much nicer, bigger room, and my wife and I fell in love with it. The bed was more comfortable there, too. We had a good time and would stay again. The hotel was clean and quiet, near everything, so we walked almost everywhere. The staff were incredibly sweet and attentive, helped with luggage and food suggestions, and got friendlier over the week. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options on the small menu, and a nice morning view from the dining area. Thanks to everyone who helped us.

Breakfast was fresh and delicious every day, and the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make me happy. I stayed for a month, and it was amazing from the start. The rooms were really nice, the AC worked great, and I'll definitely stay here again when I return.

The location is good, but that's about it. Stay away, it isn't worth any money and could ruin your vacation. We booked 4 suites for a Colombia trip with friends, planning to come around Easter. When we arrived, the rooms weren't ready, and they told us they didn't have suites, even though we'd paid full price. Nobody had warned us. In room 501 the windows weren't soundproof, so street noise from cars made sleeping impossible. The safe wasn't attached to the wall and didn't work, and the water pressure was dead. There was no hot water in any of the rooms. We asked for the cleaning service not to enter, but they came in anyway. Some rooms had no windows, which felt claustrophobic and made them smell bad. Bringing a companion to the room costs money.

The street-facing room had the best view, but its location was terrible. Noise came in under the window from passers-by, horns, party buses and whatever else well into the night, with a club a few doors down. When I told the front desk, the person seemed to ignore me and offered no apology. The front desk staff were exceptional in the morning, afternoon and evening, always smiling. My shower initially had problems, but they fixed them quickly once I let them know. I was told breakfast ran daily from 0630 to 1030. Before an excursion, I came for a quick bite shortly after 10AM. The waitress looked at her watch and muttered something in Spanish. I won't beg anyone to do their job, so I bought something down the street on my way.
