The pool was exactly what I wanted, peaceful and relaxing, and the location in the old city was great. Breakfast was included and just right. My room had filtered water, with more available at reception. I stayed four nights during my trip around Colombia, and it was a lovely place to slow down and relax. The room on the second floor, or first floor in the UK, was simple, spacious, and clean. I slept better here than anywhere else on my trip. The shower was great, though you need to let it run a few minutes before the hot water comes through. The staff were friendly, especially the lovely woman on the late afternoon and evening shift, who insisted on helping with my luggage at check-in. There was one hiccup when I was told several times I could have breakfast at 7 am before leaving for the airport at 7:30, even though breakfast normally starts at 7:30. On the day, staff didn't arrive on time, and when they did, they said breakfast wasn't ready and refused to serve me. I'd avoid counting on an early breakfast, even if someone says it's possible. Apart from that, it was a perfect stay.

We loved our stay in a great part of El Centro. The rooms and people were lovely, and they made our Valentine’s Day trip extra special. Cindy the bartender was a favorite, and we enjoyed the fantastic breakfast every day. One evening they even put together a very cute sunset meal with wine and food. Can't recommend the place enough!

We booked La Passion at the last minute after arriving in Cartagena a day early, and were glad we did. The receptionist was warm and welcoming, and the hotel is gorgeous and well located. We were in the ground floor room beside the foyer and seating area. We worried about noise there, but were told it wasn't a dining area, and it turned out not to be a problem. The shower was amazing, outdoors under the leaves in the light well, though that setup isn't ideal if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night. The noise that did bother us came from the room above. The guests walking around woke us at night when they returned. I know it's an old building, but footsteps upstairs shouldn't be that loud. Breakfast was good in a nicely designed space, and the rooftop has lovely city views. There's also an interconnected coffee shop next door. For one night, it was a five out of five. If we'd stayed longer and been woken every night by the room upstairs, I'd have rated it lower.

The room was stunning, so comfortable I hardly wanted to leave, though the pool and its amazing views made it hard to stay inside. We came during velitas, and the staff made sure we could celebrate. Nathaly and Cindy were so attentive and made the stay much better. The hotel is close to an Ara and Carulla, and only five minutes from the clock tower and other places to visit. Can't recommend it enough. I can't wait to return!

The hotel has loads of character and fits right in with the style and feel of the old town. We loved the rooftop terrace, pool, and breakfast area, and the reception and rooftop/breakfast staff were all friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful part of our honeymoon at La Passion, staying in the beautiful room 7. It had a huge bed, great AC, and always smelled amazing. The location in the heart of the old town was great too.
