The location is excellent, just about two blocks from the beach in a great area, with plenty of restaurants and nearby stores and banks. It’s a cheap, good value option. The rooms are small and simple but decent. Wi-Fi works well, breakfast is decent and the warm water is good enough. The AC is cold, beds are OK, and the bathrooms are tiny but fine.

The price per night is affordable for this location, with restaurants, shops, and a money exchange service all within walking distance. The beach is about an 8-minute walk away. My double standard room was small but manageable and had air conditioning. It was listed as a city-view room, but the window looked toward a roof with air conditioning units. I could open the window, though, and enjoyed the evening breeze. Breakfast was the usual eggs, fruit, bread, and assorted drinks, and it was a good way to start the day.

The breakfast terrace is crowded with people selling tours, sunglasses, and other rubbish. The waiter boys at breakfast are really friendly, but this place makes sleep impossible. Street noise carries on until midnight, and housekeeping is shouting and laughing from 6 a.m. or earlier.

Everything is right outside, and I liked the place, especially for a short vacation. Stay more than four days because the US's TSA will bother you. It’s Colombia, so keep your eyes open when inviting people into your room.
