Aveiro Hotel

The doors are a real concern: the locks are poor, and if you don't engage the bolt, a push can open them. Rooms have no windows, so the only ventilation is the AC. The rooms themselves are standard, but the bathrooms are small, have shower leaks, and don't come with bath soap. Hot water isn't really needed in this hot city. You have to get your bath towel at reception, and there's a large TV with no cable service signal.

It's centrally located, with plenty of shops close by. The manager provided very good service. There were a few small details, but overall it was a pleasant hotel.

The owner was rude and the service was awful. I traveled with my dog, and they blamed us for things like her peeing in places we hadn't even been. They also said we had used the bathroom towel on her, but had no proof. The AC doesn't work properly, the TV is terrible, and it gets noisy at night. A horrible experience.

The reception staff were very friendly, and the place was quiet and nicely priced. Everything else was great, though they never brought toilet paper to my room.
