Faranda Bolivar Cucuta - Resort

The hacienda look, with mango trees around the grounds, gave the hotel a lovely feel, and my family and I had a wonderful stay. We felt safe the whole time. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, and there was coffee and lemon water while we waited. The restaurant served delicious food at affordable prices, room service was excellent, and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was included and served buffet style. The front pool was clean and a good size, though when I tried the one at the back, a fitness class was using it. There are two pools in all. The hotel is under 20 minutes from the airport and about 15 minutes from downtown. Since it's on an avenue, restaurants and shops aren't very close, but there are plenty of taxis and the hotel can call one for you. A couple of things to know: sheets and towels are changed every three days, but you can ask for fresh ones sooner. The bathrooms could have been cleaner, and you'll need to bring toiletries because they don't provide toothpaste. There's a nightclub behind the building, and noise may be an issue depending on how close your room is. It has what you need for a great weekend in Cucuta, and I'd recommend it for a family vacation.

You have pretty much everything you need here, and staying at this hotel in Cucuta is always a treat. The breakfast is included in the room price and is so good. Poolside food and drink service could use some improvement, though.

That Sunday barbecue by the pool is excellent, and the place is family and pet friendly. My only complaint is that the pool ladders aren't very easy to use. Still, I'll stay here again.

The service was so friendly, and drivers already know the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was great too.
