We booked two rooms for four nights, but the stay was so poor we left after just one. We lost both time and money, and I can’t point to anything positive about the experience. When we arrived, reception was unattended, and we had to walk around the property to find someone. In one room, the insect screen on the balcony was damaged, letting bugs in. One guest even woke up with a medium-sized spider under her pillow. There was no sound insulation, and bathroom smells from other rooms spread into ours. A family with two small children was playing and screaming late at night and very early in the morning, so we couldn’t rest. We tried several times to get help at reception without an answer. Once we waited an hour, only to find out the staff member was busy looking for a cat to feed and couldn’t help. The same person seemed to be manager, receptionist, waitress, and kitchen staff. The hotel was clearly understaffed and couldn’t provide proper service. Breakfast was disappointing and had little variety. We’d paid for four nights and got no refund when we decided to leave. They offered to move us to another property, Muchosur Quimbaya, but that would have changed our whole itinerary. We had to find new accommodation ourselves in Filandia.

The natural surroundings are the highlight here, with lush vegetation, fresh air, and peaceful scenery in Colombia’s Coffee Region. MuchoSur Filandia Hotel – Nature Lodge is a lovely place to unwind and reconnect with nature. The staff were attentive, friendly, and ready to help, and the location made it easy to explore Filandia and the surrounding area. Our room was cozy and comfortable, though a few details could be improved. Still, the tranquility and helpful service made it a highly recommendable relaxing stay.

The grounds are lovely, quiet, and surrounded by nature, and the facilities are clearly well cared for. We enjoyed our stay overall. The excursion arrangements were a letdown, though: we had booked three activities well ahead and sent reminders before arriving, but none had been organized when we got there. We also couldn't get bottled water, either as a welcome drink or to buy, and we consider that essential. A positive visit, but those service details need attention.

The green spaces are beautifully kept, and waking up to birds in such peaceful surroundings was wonderful. Breakfast was one of our favorites on the trip, with fresh fruit, juice, eggs, kumis, and a lovely view. Our room was huge, the bed comfortable, and the rooms themselves among the best we've had on this trip. The pool is spectacular, and the location is only a few minutes from town. Staff were attentive from the moment we arrived, and the coworking area was handy too. We didn't want to leave. Ivan and Lucía, thank you, you're amazing. We'd gladly come back and recommend it.
