Fredy was a huge help, from sharing lots of ideas for places to eat and visit to arranging a rental car and planning a special birthday celebration for my mom. It turned out beautifully, with delicious food and a serenata from a group of singers at the farm. I couldn't have asked for more. My family and I spent four days at Villa Alejos and had an incredible time. The spacious, beautiful house was very clean, had everything we needed, and even smelled lovely, including the towels and sheets. The farm's view is like a postcard, so beautiful you could spend the whole day looking at it. I also loved the tour Juan gave us through the coffee plantation. He really has nothing to envy Juan Valdez! I learned so much about how coffee is grown and the different kinds from the farm. At the end, we brewed coffee with their beans. I'll admit, I had three cups, two double espressos and a cappuccino. It was such a unique experience, and I couldn't resist. I'll definitely visit again on my next trip back to Colombia.

Fredy made our week easy from the start, arranging an airport pickup and helping with meals at the house, restaurants, transport, and all the tours. We also loved the breakfasts: each day brought a different fresh local fruit juice and plenty of fruit, along with homemade butter, cheese, arepas, and more. My wife and I spent eight adventurous days at Villa Alejos in Quindio, Colombia, celebrating our 25th anniversary. The modern, cozy house was comfortable, and its broad porch looked out over a beautiful valley and serene, majestic, fertile mountains. There was a lot to do, from horseback riding, paragliding, hikes, a hot air balloon ride, a dairy farm, local markets, and the coffee tour with Don Juan. We picked coffee cherries and followed the process through roasting and grinding, then drank the fresh Colombian coffee. We even went out to Petronia in Pereira, which had a friendly atmosphere. A serenade was arranged as a surprise for my wife. We had a packed week, but still found time to relax, walk around nearby towns, eat at good restaurants, and shop in the local stores. The Mirador in Filandia was pretty, and the view made the trip worthwhile. Santa Rosa Hot Springs was quite an experience, too. One particularly special evening was dinner with a local family. The food was delicious, we played games, and even danced to local music. The sunset view from the pool and Jacuzzi was breathtaking. The Jacuzzi didn't have a heater, so we couldn't use it at night. Fredy was welcoming about the suggestion and said he'd work on it in the near future. Thanks for having us at Villa Alejos. We can't wait to return with our kids.

This place is a hidden gem, about 30 minutes from the Citi of Armenia, close to great shopping, good food, and some of the best parks in the coffee region. It's clean, new, and, above all, safe. We had a great time and you won't regret staying here. Hope you can spend your next vacation there.

Mr. Juan and his wife were lovely hosts. They showed us around the farm, including the coffee plants and other trees, and we even planted a few coffee seedlings. The breakfast was excellent, too. The villa sits in a unique spot with incredible views, and the house is beautiful, with spacious rooms that feel very new. Highly recommended.
