The only bright spot for us was a cute little dog who greeted us warmly. Everything else was a letdown, and the price didn't match the condition of the facilities or the service. The published photos don't show how run-down the place currently is. Rooms are advertised with air conditioning, but ours had a unit that didn't work. When we brought it up, staff seemed annoyed, which gave us the impression they already knew and were trying to hide it. There was just one person handling several jobs, and service suffered as a result. The worst part was being made to leave in the middle of the night after we politely asked for the services and conditions we'd paid for. It was rude and unprofessional, and we had to find somewhere else to stay urgently. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Management needs to be honest about what's offered and make a drastic improvement to customer service.

The staff on the different shifts are kind, friendly, and helpful. It's also great that breakfast is now offered, and the arrangement with local restaurants gives guests a range of affordable meal options at other times. The location is convenient, with plenty nearby and easy access to Bucaramanga and Piedecuesta. Just be mindful of the music from the local bars. The rooms haven't changed much since the previous owners took over. Some could use attention to humidity, and they should add TV service and provide more than two towels in double rooms. The air conditioning works well and the beds are fine. In some rooms, clothes storage needs fixing so the clothes don't hang over the bed and block access.

The location is excellent, but customer service, the facilities, and the food all need work. Breakfast was terrible, everything was served cold. The rooms are average, and noise from nearby bars and restaurants carries right in. We had asked beforehand whether the hotel had parking and were told it did, so it was a surprise to arrive and find there was none.
