Bosko

We loved our stay at Bosko two years ago, so my husband and I were excited to come back. This visit was a real disappointment, and I’m writing while we’re still here because other guests should know what the experience can be like. The property itself is beautiful, the views are lovely, and the restaurant food is amazing. But the atmosphere and the lack of staff intervention made our stay very uncomfortable. On our first night, the glamping “mushroom” we were given smelled strongly of paint, so we had to move to another unit. I could have put that aside, but things got worse. The night before breakfast, some French men arrived late with several women. There was a commotion when they tried to bring in more girls who weren’t allowed onto the property. As far as we could tell, the women who were allowed in had been with the group from the start. At breakfast the next morning, we were seated very close to them in the small dining area, where it was impossible not to hear their extremely explicit, inappropriate conversation. Dinner was uncomfortable too. A woman at a nearby table was heavily intoxicated and began loudly complaining about the wait literally within two minutes of sitting down. She kept complaining through dinner, and the staff didn’t address it. Because of this experience, we won’t be back and wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending Bosko to friends or family.

After traveling for hours to spend time here, I was met with disrespectful security at the entrance. Reception staff spoke rudely to my wife, and the operation seemed poorly managed, with no upper management. I booked through Concierge at Expedia, and because of how staff treated us on arrival, they told me to leave and find somewhere else.

The staff were great and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. I wasn’t sure about booking the presidential mushroom, but it was 100% worth it. Such a beautiful room and a great experience. I can’t wait to come back!

We deeply regretted staying here. It’s abysmal value, and nothing about how the place is run feels luxurious. Read carefully before booking and make up your own mind. Many five-star reviews seem to be from one-night stays and influencers who may not have much to compare it with. Also look at how management responds to negative reviews. In two out of three cases, they turn it around by saying the property wasn’t a good fit and guests should have researched more. In others, they gaslight people for not understanding the hotel’s “concept.” I don’t consider rooms full of bugs, a long climb up a hill to reception, tepid shower water, or torturous dining chairs to be a “concept.” The Instagram photos are nowhere near what you actually get. Do your research, and if you do stay and leave a negative review, wear a helmet.
