Tayrona Cachaco River

During our three nights here, things felt disorganized and below average. At checkout, some charges were higher than the prices we’d been quoted, which left us feeling there was a lack of transparency. The electricity and internet can also go out at any time. When we reached our cabin, there was no gas or dish soap, and the TV remote battery was dead. We had to keep reminding the staff member about the missing items, and the batteries never came. It started to feel like we were begging for things that should have been ready before arrival. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room had no mosquito net, which was the one drawback. The staff were extremely friendly, the atmosphere felt homey, and the pool was really nice.

When I wake up here on my Colombia vacations, I find everything I miss about the country: beautiful scenery, a warm welcome, time to relax, and excellent food, plus so much more. It’s a magical place, and we make a point of coming every time we visit. There’s a little dog called Rocky at Cachaco River, so please give him lots of love if you go. Thanks to everyone who makes these dream trips happen. I don’t just recommend it, I think it’s a must. I wish I could stay for 100 days or longer.

The river shown in the photos is on the property, but it smelled bad, like sewage, and didn’t match what appears on social media. The place also looks different in person from what they advertise. When we asked questions, the man helping us seemed annoyed, and the service and communication were not cordial. The stay was NOT PLEASANT. They sell it as an “EXPERIENCE,” but it DOES NOT DELIVER on that promise. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS POOR. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.
