There wasn't a reception or even a sign saying "Cristal del Lago," though everyone in the village seemed to know the place. My room was huge, bigger than any I'd had on my six-week trip, with a sofa and an incredible lake view. Imagine waking up and pulling back the curtains! The owner was so kind, and the bathroom was modern. There was also a large flat-screen TV, though I barely used it. I'd recommend staying a night or more.

We couldn't sleep at all because of the noise. There was sound from the bar outside, plus doors slamming, people chatting, and really loud music in the corridor all night. A couple who lived there were arguing and shouting, too. There were no towels in the bathroom and no blanket. There isn't even a reception or a sign with the place's name. We wouldn't recommend staying here.

Great spot for a night or two, and the location is prime. The room was clean and had towels, soap, and even hot water, which is rare in Colombia.

We paid 15 days ahead, especially because we wanted the hotel's lake-view location. When my family arrived, we were told the reservation had been overbooked and were moved to different accommodation. Its bathroom wasn't very clean, and it wasn't in the location we'd asked for. The price was high for the service, and I wouldn't book with them again. Don't rely on advance reservations and payments here.
