Hotel Real Guatape

I’m giving it five stars to balance out some negative reviews that, in my opinion, don’t make sense. It’s really good value for money and the location is amazing. My room was clean, and my shower wasn’t moldy at all. The mattress was a little hard, but I slept super well. The shower head could be improved, though. It looks a bit sketchy with the electric cable plugged in right next to it.

There was no jacuzzi, no water in the river, and no view. We couldn’t use the game room because of a religious conference, and the food was extremely bad. The beds were bad too. With no water in the nearby river, there were no water activities. All the pictures are a big lie or from ten years ago, so there was nothing to do here at all. Such a huge disappointment. For this price, we expected much more. No future, no hope, no dream.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the price was great for a comfortable room right in the middle of Guatape. There’s some street noise at night, but we didn’t hear a thing with earplugs. With the doors shut, the room felt a little damp. Also, the window opens onto the hallway, not outside.

The hotel is in the center of town, the staff are helpful, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean, with no cockroaches. For such a cheap, plain place, that’s a nice surprise. The price and quality are a good match. The lack of windows might make you feel a bit claustrophobic, and my only serious complaint was the nightlife noise from outside.
