Oak Tree Hostel

The service was phenomenal, and the woman at the front desk was great. Breakfast is included, which was awesome. My wife and I liked the quiet setting for sleeping, though it's about a 10-minute walk to town. If you want to be right in the middle of the city, this may not be the right spot. For an affordable trip to Guatapé, it worked perfectly for us.

Evelin and her daughter Angela made us feel welcome at this lovely, beautifully decorated hostel. The shared spaces are set up for relaxing and enjoying the place. It's around a 10-minute walk from the centre, and they can lend you bicycles if you'd rather ride. I'd definitely recommend it.

The owner was so sweet and made a great breakfast with coffee for everyone. The building is really cool, with a great communal area, and the rooms were perfect too. It's a quick 10-minute walk to town. Everything I could ask for in a hostel, 10/10.

I don't know if the woman at the front desk owns the hostel, but she went beyond what I expected. When we mentioned that we'd be leaving before breakfast started, she offered to make it for us at 7:00am. We turned her down, but it was such a sweet offer. She also said we could leave our bags there while we rented motorcycles. The place is quiet and clean, and I wish I could stay longer. I've had the best service of anywhere I've been in Colombia so far. The hospitality here is hard to get over.
