The food was so greasy that my husband, our 5-year-old, and I all spent a week sick with severe food poisoning and constant trips to the bathroom. I asked to move to another hotel on the first day, but they wouldn’t allow it. Staff at the restaurant and reception were extremely unwelcoming. We came from the USA expecting a beautiful beach and an all-inclusive stay. Instead, there was no beach, the water was disgusting, and the online photos were completely misleading. The property’s only pool was in terrible condition too. Our room was dirty, looked nothing like the pictures, and the toilet water looked and smelled like sewage. It kept running nonstop. This place felt more like a motel than a hotel. We were extremely disappointed. It was the worst week of my life. Do not go here.

The staff were the one bright spot. They worked tirelessly with limited resources, dealt with constant complaints professionally, and kept the hotel very clean. Even so, I can’t recommend staying here. We felt completely ripped off, paying a premium price for such poor conditions. There was no beach as advertised, the air conditioning didn’t work, and we had no water for about six hours. The electricity went out twice, and we weren’t given towels. In the room, the lights and door handles were broken, and the gym equipment couldn’t be used. The hotel is seriously in need of maintenance. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

All-inclusive, but lunch ended at 2:30 and check-in was at 3 pm, so you had to pay starting on the first day. We paid for the whole day, yet our rooms weren’t ready until 6 pm. The facilities were poor, and the beach photo wasn’t reliable. This was the worst experience. It’s not a place to stay.

For what we paid, this was awful. The room smelled like a sewer, and when we asked to move, they said it was a drainage issue and wouldn’t give us another room.

We had no hot water, so we took cold showers for the whole week. The rooms were dated at best, and some were dirty. When we arrived with family and friends, we didn’t get a room until 5:40 pm, even though people who arrived after us were given theirs sooner. The pool lifeguard whistled at us and berated us like children. Most of the staff treated us poorly, especially when we tried to order and didn’t speak Spanish. We were either ignored while Spanish-speaking guests were served or made fun of. One young bartender told me, “your spanglish is silly,” and laughed. Two people were wonderful, our housekeeping attendant and one bartender, Guadalupe. When we checked out of this nightmare of a “resort,” I was loading my suitcases into the taxi when I heard the bellman say “give me a dollar” three times. I chose not to entertain that unprofessional behavior. I’ll never recommend this horrible place, based on how inappropriate and unprofessional the staff were.
