After staying here, I felt rejuvenated. The river is just steps from the bar, and there’s a pool too. The shared areas and rooms were very clean, with plenty to do nearby, including Tayrona National Park. The restaurant serves delicious food and the bar has exotic drinks. If you’re looking for somewhere to have fun and connect with nature, I definitely recommend this hotel. Kudos to the staff.

The hotel is wonderfully quiet, and it’s a great place to unwind. There’s a pool and direct access to the river. Lunch could be a bit better, but I’d still highly recommend it.

The Bambú Tayrona Hotel has beautiful, distinctive architecture and a lot of potential, but it badly needs maintenance. Its main attraction, the viewpoint, was closed because it was in such poor condition. Our room wasn’t fully clean, and the fridge was too dirty to use. The ceiling mosquito net was covered in dead insects, which made sleeping unpleasant. Breakfast wasn’t good either. Given all that, it was incredibly expensive compared with other hotels I’ve stayed in that provide better service.

The pool and the surrounding area made for a superb stay, and the restaurant deserves a special mention too. The kitchen staff made us feel right at home. Our waitress, Maria, was especially kind and friendly. I recommend it 100%.

I think the hotel’s reply mixed me up with someone else. We didn’t bring in any prohibited items; we respect the rules wherever we stay. We did have lunch there, eight meals in total, which is why I’d made suggestions for the chef: the food wasn’t good. Customers, whether staying overnight or just visiting for the day, have every right to say what they liked and didn’t. Businesses survive because of their customers, especially in a competitive market like yours. I’d take the positive comments as encouragement to keep up good service and use the negative ones to address shortcomings.
