Casa Abba Hotel

The staff were friendly, but only two people seemed to be handling everything: reception, cleaning, taking orders, and serving tables. We were disappointed with our stay at Casa Abba. The rooms were hot without air conditioning, and we had to keep the windows shut because of the mosquitoes. Quite a few menu items weren’t available. Throughout our stay, they said they had no milk for coffee or hot chocolate, and no onions or tomatoes for eggs. The food was very mediocre, and the meat was tough. We also had to ask for toilet paper, and they didn’t provide enough. It was the same with napkins: there was just one on the table and no more available. There were no hand towels at the sinks either.

I felt completely at home here. The room was really comfortable, and the service was excellent throughout. When we checked out, we accidentally left a personal item behind, and the staff got in touch to arrange its return. They were also great with our pets. It’s genuinely pet-friendly, though keeping the place clean by picking up after them is our responsibility as owners. Thank you for such thoughtful care ☺️

The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. Service was attentive from the first phone call right through checkout. We stayed in a traditional house in the coffee region that felt peaceful and welcoming, just right for unwinding with family. Our room was clean, in great condition, and looked just like the photos. The pool, dining room, shared spaces, and big garden with fruit trees were all well kept too. There’s outdoor parking at the entrance, facing the garden.

The manager was kind and helpful, and the facilities were orderly and clean enough. But the noise made our stay miserable. Music from the bar across the road was unbearably loud until 4 a.m., and there was mowing during the day, continuing the next day. Someone else kept hammering, polishing, and drilling while putting up a fence. On top of that, the second-floor guests made constant noise with footsteps and things dropping, with no consideration for anyone else. We came expecting a calm, relaxing place and got the opposite. There needs to be basic control of these disturbances before more guests go through this and the business’s reputation suffers.
