The family hosting Moon Wind Tayrona Hostel were amazing, and the pool and views were lovely. We had a wonderful time, and the included breakfast was good too. I can recommend it. And please play Football with Isak.

The pool and jacuzzi area were a real highlight for us. We had a great stay at Moon Wind, with amazing staff and very comfortable rooms.

Suzanna and Abraham made the stay for us. As far as we could tell, they were the only two people working there, yet everything ran smoothly. They were both so helpful. Suzanna went out of her way several times to make sure we had everything we needed and more. She handled reception, cooked, prepared rooms, and also offered massages. In all the hostels and hotels we've stayed at on this trip, I've never written such a positive review of the staff, and I mean every word. The food was amazing, made fresh with care, and cost less than at any other hostel we'd visited. Breakfast was free, and you could order dinner at the restaurant. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and well protected from the outside at night. Falling asleep to the insects and birds nearby was pretty cool. The pool and spa were very well looked after, and the hostel itself was spotless, with panoramic views of the mountains. Getting there from Santa Marta was easy: we took a shuttle from the downtown market and reached the El Zaino entrance in 40 minutes for less than 12 000 COP. From there, it's a 350m walk up a few flights of stairs. If you're visiting Tayrona or the surrounding area, I'd definitely book here.

The breakfast and bar area have amazing views, and there's a nice little pool and hot tub. The hotel is near the Tayrona park entrance, though it's at the top of a steep hill. The views are great once you're up there. The rooms are okay, but the bathroom is small. Reception will store your bags for 10 000 COP. There are three friendly dogs around reception, in case you're afraid of dogs. Down at the main road at the foot of the hill, a shop sells the best papitas in Colombia for only 4 000 COP!

We paid 17$/night for a private room and bathroom, with breakfast included, and it was probably the best value hostel at the edge of Tayrona park. The room was simple, but the owners and staff were very welcoming and quick to help. There's a pool and jacuzzi with great views of the surroundings, and you might spot howler monkeys in the trees if you're lucky. Try the pasta carbonara the night before a hike, it's delicious 😋
