The location is handy for Manizales, and there’s paid indoor parking next door. The woman running the place was flexible when we needed a very late check-in. Still, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again, as it doesn’t feel like good value. The rooms are roomy but sparsely furnished, and our floor and beds weren’t clean when we arrived. Walking barefoot made our feet feel dirty right away. Using the shared central areas felt awkward, like being in someone else’s home, which it is. The house generally isn’t in great repair. The owner gave us keys, then went into our room while we were out and removed some towels, apparently because she didn’t like them hanging on the cabinet doors. She returned them later. Laundry costs a lot, even if you wash things by hand, and the kitchen can’t be used after 9 pm. The showers called hot aren’t very warm, and only get as warm as they do with the water turned down to its lowest setting. The doors aren’t labeled and look alike, so at night, in complete darkness, you could open someone else’s room by mistake.

Restaurants are nearby, breakfast is good, and you can cook in the kitchen. Laundry costs a little. It’s very central, and there’s 24/7 parking next door for a separate fee. For a quiet room, pick one without a window, not either of the two at the front.

The house is spacious and clean, with two shared bathrooms and a shower that gets reasonably hot. Other foreigners stay here often, so it’s easy to meet people. Angie is very nice and the place feels homelike. I think the kitchen is available to guests too. There’s no sign, and this is Angie’s actual home, so we had to locate the right door by the address or get help from a local, as we did. Motorcycle parking next door was 6,000 per night. The street leading to the house is very steep, so keep that in mind if you’re arriving in your own vehicle. Some apps still list it as Minga's House, its former name.

Breakfast was plentiful and good, and the house itself was clean. Finding it was tricky, and it sits on a VERY steep hill. There was a lot of traffic noise, probably because of that steep street. The shower barely got warm. Moto parking was at the "moto parquedero" down below, for 6500 COP.

The host was very kind and helpful, though unfortunately spoke no English at all. Breakfast was good, and you can do laundry there. It’s a good basic option for a short visit to Manizales, especially with its perfect location in the city centre.
