A small hotel in a nice spot, with a pleasant terrace where you can have breakfast or enjoy a drink. The rooms are simple.

It costs a lot by Colombian standards, but I thought it was worth it. Everything was brand new and cleaner than my own apartment. The family who runs the place are really nice, and grandma cooks breakfast in the morning. They also let me leave my luggage there while I was staying at a coffee farm.

My family stayed at Hotel Piedras de Maní in Manizales while I was traveling through Colombia to present my book 'Doing What Matters: The Power of Purposeful Productivity'. The location was quiet but central, the rooms were clean, and the staff were very friendly.

It's a tiny hotel, but comfortable, and the staff are so kind and helpful.
