Estelar Recinto Del Pensamiento

The rooms were nice and relaxing, and there were lots of great employees. One weekend breakfast issue really bothered me: a staff member took my fruit order, but after 20 minutes it still hadn't arrived. I'd rather serve myself, like I could during the week, or have the food brought promptly. Also, when my taxi driver told the security guard I was a guest checking in, the guard seemed confused, and we had to explain that we were going to the hotel.

The coffee is amazing, and there's a wide choice of baked goods. The tropical forest trails are beautiful, with birds and flowers all around and plenty of fresh air. Being there makes you feel as though you've left the city.

We stayed here with our baby and they brought us a crib and a bath for him. The front desk answered our questions about local activities, and both check-in and check-out were easy. Service was superb. The hotel sits on the grounds of Recinto de Pensamiento park, in a peaceful, well-kept area that's lovely to walk around. It feels like you're out in the country, surrounded by nature and away from the city. Our room was spacious and clean, with a great hot shower, and the price felt very reasonable for the stay. The restaurants on the grounds served great food. Breakfast was included, with plenty of good options, and on Sunday there was an omelet and fruit station. We also ordered room service several times, and everything delivered was top notch. I'll stay again next time I'm in Manizales.

The steak house was amazing, and I highly recommend it. The hotel and service in general were great too.
