Breakfast was really good, and the place was simple and very clean. The beds weren't very comfortable, though. Since the area is so hilly, cafes and restaurants aren't an easy walk, so I ended up taking a taxi everywhere.

The service was excellent, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. It's a pleasant, quiet hotel near shopping malls and convention centers.

The room was okay, though it could use some updating. There are only a couple of outlets, neither close to the bed, and the TV only had pay-per-view content. The bathroom was quite nice. The staff were extremely friendly. One older gentleman was especially helpful, calling taxis, giving directions, and offering advice about our plans. The location worked well for us: restaurants were a 15-20 minute walk or a five-minute taxi ride away. Hotel staff and online sources described El Poblado as generally safe. I walked around during the day, sometimes taking out my phone and camera for pictures, and had no problems. I also went on foot at night with my brother and friend to the restaurant and nightlife area, without any issues. Breakfast was the weak point. The pastries were very dry, the eggs and other hot food were sometimes cold, and the coffee always tasted old. There was a good selection of fruit and juice, though. It was passable, and since this isn't a fancy hotel, I didn't mind the quality too much.

They took my laundry without asking, which I'd never experienced before, and required an extra 100 euros for a guest who came to visit. The hotel was very unprofessional, and I won't stay there again. Save your money and choose a better place.
