Avenue mansion

The breakfast was so yummy, and I looked forward to it each morning. Don Carlos, who served food in the morning, was one of my favorite people there. He was attentive and gave us great ideas for places to visit. We wanted a family-friendly place with breakfast, a good area, and friendly service, and this hotel was just right. The rooms are basic, but we only needed somewhere to rest. There isn't AC, but nights are cold, so that worked perfectly for us. The internet was spotty in our room, though it worked perfectly in the lobby or by the pool. That suited us, since it kept us off our phones and iPad. It had what we needed. I saw complaints in some reviews and figure those guests may have been looking for luxury. You won't find that here, but the friendly staff, great location, and everything we needed made it easy for me to recommend.

The area is very quiet, and the location puts you close to everything important in Medellin. I'd recommend this hotel if you're visiting the city.

The staff were super friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was great, just a quick drive from the restaurant area. But our room had no AC, so we were miserable at night, and my friends' room smelled moldy. We were six families traveling through Colombia and stayed here for a few nights while visiting different areas each day.
