Brick Hostel

Brick hostel had rooms available when we needed somewhere at the last minute. We stayed there after The Black Sheep, which we’d booked more than a month ahead, told us they had 6 people and couldn’t communicate among themselves, so they hadn’t known we were coming. We had no room for our 2 nights in Medellín. The staff at Brick hostel were nice and helpful, but the single-glass windows face a main road. It was very noisy from 5am or possibly earlier. Cleaning wasn’t their strong point either. We found eggs from some kind of insect, which they didn’t recognize, and some insects in the curtains. We complained, and apparently they washed the curtains and put them back clean. There was no breakfast, and it was very expensive for what it was.
