Casa Medallo

We loved our stay. It’s clean and peaceful, in a safe neighborhood close to restaurants and parks. The employees are really nice, too.

It’s in a quiet area, and the rooms were spotless. The service was excellent and breakfast was great. Pilar was a huge help with booking activities. It’s close to el poblado by car. I especially loved how clean everything was. 10/10, I’ll stay again.

We meant to stay two nights and ended up adding a third. The hotel is quiet and green, with pleasant decor and quality materials. The staff member who welcomed us was super nice, though I didn’t catch her name. She spoke only Spanish, but we managed to communicate perfectly. They did our laundry for 30000 pesos, and it came back clean and folded. The owner, I think, Pilar, was around and reachable on WhatsApp whenever we needed her. The hotel isn’t in the center of the el Poblado party area. It’s between two highways, so walking there at night might feel uneasy for some people. We walked to the poblado “centre” both after dark and during the day, though, and an uber costs about 2€ or less. Our flight wasn’t until 21:00, so after checkout at 11:00 we needed to leave our bags. That was easy to arrange. Absolutely recommended!

I loved staying here, especially because the customer service was so good. It’s family-owned, and everyone treats you like part of the family. The staff were friendly and quick to help with questions or concerns. Luisa, the housekeeper, was especially sweet. The house has a cozy, updated modern style and was always extremely clean. It’s very close to EAFIT university, in a great neighborhood, though there aren’t many restaurants nearby. It’s not a party house, which suited me since I wanted somewhere laidback. The Wi-Fi is great. Hot water can be a big deal at Colombian places to stay. I usually got scalding hot water here, though when lots of people were using it at once, it was warm. Compared with some other places I stayed in the area, I felt I was in GREAT hands.
