It was an easy 5-10 minute taxi ride to El Poblado for restaurants and nightlife, while the area around La Quinta Medellín was nice and quiet. I had a comfortable stay in a very large, clean room with a really comfortable bed. My room was at the end of the 7th floor, with a wonderful city view. Breakfast was adequate, with a good range of eggs and fresh fruit. The sound carries through the hallways, though. You can clearly hear people talking outside your room, especially if a big group walks by or chats there. It wasn't a major problem for me, but light sleepers may want earplugs.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were nice. The Medellín view from the rooftop is good, but the film over the windows makes it almost impossible to take photos from the hotel. When I stayed, there were only four worn-out lounge chairs by the rooftop pool. The breakfast menu changed just once during my week there, and the location wasn't great for getting around on foot. There are no shops within walking distance, so everything meant taking a taxi.

We had a great stay with friends and their kids in adjacent rooms. The rooms were modern and very clean, the staff were always wonderful and helpful, and the rooftop pool was a big plus. Breakfast was great on both mornings we were there. It's in a great location, and I'd definitely come back. You can hear the neighbors through the walls, so keep that in mind if noise bothers you.

The bed was comfortable, breakfast was excellent, and the staff were nice. The location was really convenient for us, but the HVAC was loud and the walls were paper thin. You could hear everything in the adjoining rooms and doors slamming down the hall. I'd probably stay somewhere else next time.
