Hotel Prado

The bed was wooden and creaked every time I moved. There’s no hot water, and the old TVs only get digital terrestrial channels. They can’t even afford a TV plan with at least movies, sports, or porn. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, especially for that price.

I was in Medellín for two weeks in February 2022, traveling from Chile, and my stay went smoothly. The receptionists were friendly, and there are plenty of bakeries, places to eat, and shops nearby. The bus stop for the metro is no more than a five-minute walk. It’s a little far from the center, but I had a pretty good experience.

I’d already stayed here the night before, but there was no Wi-Fi, and I wouldn’t recommend coming back. It was past midnight and I still couldn’t sleep because staff near reception were talking loudly and playing music. My room was next to the desk, and the noise was unbearable. When I asked to move, they refused because I’d already used the room. Well, of course I had. They offered no other solution. I’d arrived in shock and crying after a problem, and I didn’t even notice where they put me. The receptionist could see I wasn’t okay and shouldn’t have assigned me that room. Check-in was very late too. They’d told me on WhatsApp it was at 10 PM, and the online customer service was terrible. It costs far too much for this experience. I had a terrible time.
