Mandala Hotel Belen

The breakfast was great, and the place has a smart TV, hot water, parking, and a very good location. But we were disappointed by the customer service during our 3 nights there, especially one of the front desk girls, the short one. She was very mediocre, not at all friendly, and spoke harshly to us. She couldn’t even get a food order right. The other 2 Colombian girls were very nice. Our second-floor room was very hot, with no windows and no AC. You could hear everything from the other rooms.

The room was clean and comfortable, and we slept amazingly well. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options, and reception service was excellent. We chose a room with A/C, but it started dripping on the second night, so we turned it off. The room stayed cool enough that sleeping wasn’t unbearably hot. The shower was a bit odd but did the job. The shower head is directly over the tub, so there’s basically nowhere to stand. I’d recommend the hotel for a short 3 day stay.

Had no complaints. They serve breakfast, and it’s a good place to stay for a couple of days.

I had to show them the details on my phone because they couldn't find either my reservation or the record of my partial payment, and they hadn't been expecting me. I booked a junior suite and did get one, but Hotel Mandala seemed poorly managed and unprepared for tourists or business travelers, despite having some friendly staff. During the stay, the water was sometimes cold and sometimes dirty from above. The safe was never set up for me, even after I asked several times, and there was nowhere to store clothes or other belongings. Midway through the dates shown on my reservation, they told me I had to leave because they thought my booking ended that day. At checkout, they also tried to charge me for minibar items I hadn't taken.
