The laundry was very quick, and the hostel is in a decent location. Ricardo and Daniella are lovely, helpful people who gave us recommendations. The rooms are basic, but the showers are warm. The rates shown online didn't match what I was charged at the hostel. The amount changed every day, from 27,000COP the first night to nearly double, 48,000COP, by my last night. I was told it was because it was “busier,” though the number of people was the same and there were no extra services. Staff hadn't told me about the changing prices, and the listing on hostel-world advertised free breakfast that didn't exist. There were also no classes, despite the photos and notices around the hostel. It's nice enough, but watch out for extra charges.

I was told at check-in that I'd need to switch beds the next day because someone had booked mine. Since the rooms seemed to have no difference on hostelworld, I asked if the new person could take the free bed instead of moving me and cleaning two beds. The receptionist gave a long, aggressive reply with lots of gestures about how the system worked, talking over me and being rude. It made the whole situation very uncomfortable. I hadn't needed to speak to a manager, but the offer came up multiple times while he kept talking over me, so I asked to do that. He called the manager and then handed me the phone, loudly and proudly saying that everything was recorded on cctv and describing how I was demanding not to change beds. The manager said he was coming, but after 20 minutes he still hadn't arrived. While I waited, some guests told me that their phones, iPad, and money had been stolen from a locker with a damaged 🔒. They said it had happened to multiple people over the past few days. They also said no action was being taken to check cctv or call the police for a report so they could make an insurance claim. The staff member's rudeness at least led me to cancel and leave for a safe hostel with lovely staff. It probably saved me from more unpleasant situations, like having things stolen. 1. Choose your staff! 2. Make your hostel secure!

The rooftop is lovely, with activities you can join, and the location is in a nice area. That also means nearby restaurants and bars are quite pricey. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The rooms are the basic sort you'd usually get in a city hostel, but it would be great to have more toilets or sinks.

The location is great, the breakfast was nice, and the terrace is lovely. But there were bedbugs. On the first night I pulled back the sheet to check, and staff saw me and interrogated me, repeatedly asking why I was looking and getting defensive. That made me uncomfortable. On our last night we saw bedbugs, and the staff weren't very helpful. My friend is covered in bites.

I only needed a place to rest for four hours before my flight. It cost a bargain A$11, was pretty clean, and the staff were friendly. The metro station is just a 13-minute walk away.
