Selvario 36 Hotel

The rooms are a little small, though the design and finishes are lovely. We had a balcony and even got a welcome massage included, which felt like a special touch. The property itself is beautiful and lush, and everything was within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back.

The rooftop pool, drinks, and service made me really happy with my stay, and the location was super convenient for Provenza, getting around Poblado, and moving around in general. The rooms are actually pretty good sized, with balconies, nice water, and lovely decor. The website photos make them look smaller than they are, which was the one piece of feedback I left. I’ll be back. The whole staff was so friendly and helpful: Sara and Juan at reception gave recommendations and helped with what I needed, Diego and the other service guys acted quickly, the Kevins at the bar gladly brought water and refilled my bottle, and Anastasia, Hilary, and the other waitresses were happy to serve us. Best hotel I’ve stayed in for a while, 10/10.

The hotel and room are gorgeous, with a rainforest kind of feel. We really didn’t want to leave at checkout and will definitely return. It’s a great spot, especially for a first trip to Medellin. Diego and Felipe at the front desk checked in on us from the moment we landed, then were kind and helpful when we arrived and took time to show us everything in the room.

The one drawback was the nighttime noise. Even with the balcony door closed, it stayed loud until the clubs shut at 4 am. If I’d been there longer, I would’ve asked for a quieter room. Still, I had a really nice stay: lovely rooms, a beautiful balcony, great service, and very nice staff. The location also works well for sightseeing.
