We barely slept during the nearly weeklong stay at Stanza Hotel. It has a central location, but shares a wall with a nightclub that was open on four of the six nights we were there. The music and heavy bass went until 3:30am, shaking the whole room. Even on quieter nights, guests came back around 4am playing music or videos loudly, and noise carried through the building during the day too. We kept hoping it would get better, but it didn't. We couldn't get a refund because we booked through a third party, and on our tight budget we couldn't leave after the first night. The reception staff were kind and accommodating and tried to make things pleasant. The room was okay, with a small bed and a bit of mold in the bathroom, which was manageable. But the constant lack of sleep ruined it. We won't stay again, and anyone looking for rest should avoid this hotel.

**WARNING** The noise is like a Boeing 747 trying to land right on the hotel. It's beside a very busy nightclub, and from 8pm to 6am the walls, windows and flowers were shaking. If you don't need sleep and are happy paying 30 quid a night, this might be your dream place. The hotel itself is a total dump: the shower barely puts out water, there's no dustbin, and all you get to sleep under is a thin bedsheet.

I had several maintenance problems in room 14 at Stanza Hotel Provenza, so I'd avoid it. The shower head was broken and the drain badly clogged, but management seemed barely concerned when I reported them. There were also several black mold spots in the room. When the door lock jammed, they called a repairman and expected me to pay the bill.

The rooms at Hotel Stanza were comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the price was affordable, which left me more of my budget for local culture and dining. Karen at reception was especially wonderful. She welcomed me warmly and helped with directions and local sights, so I got to see some of Medellín's most beautiful attractions. The whole stay exceeded my expectations, thanks to the service and the quality of the accommodation. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Medellín. I'll be back soon. Thank you, Hotel Stanza.
