The room was clean and comfortable, but the birds peck at the windows through the mirrored glass, and the hotel hasn't dealt with the problem. It made it impossible to rest properly. The included breakfast was awful, to the point that I think they'd be better off serving nothing. If peace and quiet are what you want, I'd stay somewhere else.

The furnishings were high quality, with thoughtful details throughout. My room had a spotless bathroom, a very comfortable bed, and a breathtaking view, with plenty of space.

The Río Frío (Cold River) is only a five-minute walk away, and the hot springs are relatively close. To reach the guesthouse, follow the hot springs road, turn left onto the paved road, then drive up for five minutes. It was well worth the stay, and I'd come back if I return to Rivera. The grounds are lovely and well cared for, with fruit trees and a cool natural stream running through the area. It's one of the first farms the stream reaches. It feeds a pool and a decorative pond with minnows before continuing down to the other farms. In the morning, the birds and running water were so relaxing. The friendly hosts live in the main house. Their recently built guesthouse has spacious, clean rooms with Wi-Fi and DirecTV. Breakfast was delicious, and they welcome pets. They have a Golden Retriever and two adorable mixed-breed dogs. A few things to know: I'd suggest putting a curtain on the room's mirrored glass door, since people can see inside at night. Rivera has mosquitoes, so bring good repellent. There are no fans or air conditioning in the rooms, though I found the temperature manageable. Claro and Movistar data coverage is poor in the area, but Tigo works. The second-floor rooms are reached by a spiral staircase.

The service was great and the rooms were really nice. I had a wonderful time and loved the whole place. You could spend a weekend here and not want to leave. I recommend it 100%.
