The rooms and common areas smelled dusty, and the room had cobwebs. With all the decorations, they seem to have overlooked how much dust builds up. The pool was extremely dirty, with a sandy, yellowish bottom. Leaves might fall from the trees, but that didn’t explain the state of the water. The path was overgrown and looked like it hadn’t been cleared of leaves in ages. There was no security. We came across a small monkey while walking, it got scared and jumped into the river. We’d clearly disturbed its habitat. We were there during a weekday vacation, and the place was nothing like what I’d seen on social media. The service was terrible. We had to go looking for staff whenever we needed information or help. They didn’t have beer when I asked, even though they’d said they’d bring it, and it was at room temperature. The food was so-so and, for the price, just ordinary. They should have more innovative dishes or fast food. It felt like a regular lunch rather than dinner. I paid for one of the more expensive stays expecting to be very comfortable, but the mattress was just a thin mat, about 8 to 10 cm thick. I’d also seen the indigenous impersonation show online and wanted to experience it, but nobody offered to dress up for a photo. I understand the show needs a large group, but as a guest they should offer something. If they do the show, I think it costs another 25,000 pesos per person. Honestly, I don’t recommend the place. The cleanliness is terrible and a lot needs improving. It has potential to be a good tourist attraction, but it’s a shame when people come from other regions with high expectations and leave disappointed like I did. The actual rating is -1.
