The hostel is affordable, the staff are friendly, and my room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was solid, with different things to choose from each day. The location is fine, though not ideal: it’s a 10-minute walk to Main Street. That distance also means it’s quiet and easy to sleep well. One thing to watch is the laundry weight. They initially measured almost twice the actual amount, but the receptionist checked it again with another scale and sorted it out. Card payments also have a 7% surcharge, so it’s useful to know that ahead of time.

It’s set away from the beach, so you can get a quieter, more relaxing stay. There are hammocks in the courtyard for unwinding, and the room was comfortable and had a fan. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were really attentive.

The good parts were the clean, spacious rooms, roomy mattresses, included sheets and towels, a very good breakfast, hammocks, and clean bathrooms. There’s no fridge or stove guests can use, and staff service ends at 10 pm. After that, there’s nobody to help if you need something. Cold water matters in that heat, but they sell it at a very high price and only until closing. The place is far from everything, and the walk back is very dark at night. There are stray dogs, too. A cat came in through our balcony, used the room, and urinated on our clothes. The hostel washed them, but nobody had warned us not to leave the windows open, even though the rooms get very hot and have no air conditioning. Screens or another barrier on the balconies could prevent this.

We stayed three nights in a room facing the patio and had a great time. The atmosphere is peaceful, with a lovely patio and breakfast, and the service felt full of care and enthusiasm for the project. It’s in Palomino village, a little away from the tourist bustle of 6th Street, which suited us much better. We’ll be back.

The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and breakfast is both tasty and nutritious. Everyone was very friendly, and the price was excellent. It’s a little way from the beach, but they can help arrange transport. We’d happily stay here again and recommend it.
