La Natura Hostel & Pool

The owner shouted at me in front of other guests, making me feel unsafe and uneasy. He went on at length over a slightly late checkout, even though we’d contacted them hours earlier to explain it was due to a motorbike accident. He also got angry because friends sat by the pool for ten minutes while we waited for our bus. They’d booked accommodation there for the next night. I’ve never been treated so badly by staff. It’s unbelievable that this came from the owner, who should set an example for the team. I’d avoid staying here if you can. The hostel itself is fine, but he shouldn’t be making money from treating people this way.

For a laid-back hostel with helpful staff, go somewhere else. In six months of traveling around South America, these were the least helpful staff we’d come across. They first put you in their worst room, so if you decide to stay, ask for one of the brighter rooms upstairs. Even those still have only cold showers. When something goes wrong, they won’t help, and can make the problem worse or even lie to you.

The breakfasts are very healthy, and the staff are warm and charismatic. La Natura Hostel is a comfortable, pleasant place to unwind, and I enjoyed the services it offers.

It’s a cozy place with a nice atmosphere. You can hear everything happening around the hostel through the thin walls, the showers have no hot water, and the staff’s English could be better so it’s easier to talk things through.
