The woman at the desk was really nice and helpful. I had the whole place to myself, and it was really big and spacious, with a small kitchen. It was clean, with air conditioning and a fan. It’s a quiet place to sleep, right across from the iguana town island. Lots nearby, including a supermarket, restaurants, the harbor, and the island.

Posada Lia is lovely, and I’d definitely come back. Joe, the owner, will help set up everything for your Providencia trip, from a scooter to kayaks, and he’s happy to share what he knows. The guesthouse is right by the catamaran port. My room had a big, comfy bed, strong air conditioning, a fan, fridge, chairs, and a wardrobe. Wi-Fi can be unreliable, but that’s an island-wide problem. Sometimes the whole island has no connection for hours or even days.

The room is big and the breakfast was nice, though I found the accommodation a little expensive. Otília can arrange whatever you need, from mullitas to diving.

There’s a viewing deck with hammocks, which is a lovely spot, and it stays quiet at night. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with air conditioning, a private bathroom, and toiletries. There’s also a shared kitchen for making a quick meal. The property faces the pier, close to the Lovers' Bridge over to Santa Catalina. Deisy, the host, gave us tips on places to visit and eat.

The air conditioning was excellent, and the rooms have a kitchenette and sitting area with an electric hotplate, mini fridge, and household utensils. There’s a kitchen available, but I didn’t eat there because I found it expensive. I stayed with a friend in a room that could sleep six. I imagine it would feel worse than a hostel at full occupancy. The place doesn’t have one of the best setups, though most inns on the island are like that. The Wi-Fi, despite being advertised, is always having problems. The location wasn’t one of the island’s best either, far from the main beaches and bars at the opposite end. Still, you could put together something to eat in the room if you needed to, and eating out is cheap.
