I paid 50.000 Cop a night for a dorm room, and you can pay cash or card. I had an amazing stay, with very friendly staff, few other people around, and a nice chill area overlooking the town and the Amazon. Special thanks to Gloria, who was super lovely and made delicious breakfasts with coffee and cacao. I disagree with some of the other reviews: we had drinking water, and there’s a kitchen you can use anytime.

The rooms were great and the building is beautiful. Diego was especially helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, and we were really happy here overall. There’s room for improvement in how it’s managed, though. They couldn’t find my payment record, so I was charged twice for the booking. It took several days to get the money back. The WiFi would work

It’s a beautiful building, but the ownership is poor. They gave me the wrong price when I arrived and refused to correct it after I was told the correct amount. The owner is never there, and the people working there don’t know how to run a hostel. Some other tourists also had bad experiences with staff approaching them inappropriately.

I liked the place in a lot of ways, but the drinking water situation really lowered my rating. I had to ask several times over 24 hours before anyone arranged water, which I found quite strange. It’s a very appealing hostel, with classic open architecture, so there’s very little privacy.

The bathroom was clean, though the shower only had cool water. The dorm has screens all around for airflow and mosquito protection, but the curtain is see-through where people walk by. It was okay for a short stay in Nariño. The hostel is an easy walk from the boat sock and town streets, and the shared living area has hammocks and a beautiful view. The large wooden building blends into the jungle. I had a four-bed dorm to myself, with a fan, shelves, and outlets. There’s no locker in the room for valuables, despite a sign telling you not to leave them, so you end up carrying everything valuable on tours. There’s no kitchen or drinking water, so include that in your budget. Stores charge about 5mil per liter. Apparently there’s free public water outside the hospital if you ask and look, but the hostel gives no information about it.
