Finca Hotel Heron

The pool is great, the birdsong is lovely, and the hotel is very close to town. The rooms have good beds, but there are no nightstands or clotheslines, and the TV only gets three channels. There’s no game room, and although there is a kitchen, guests aren’t allowed to use it. The staff are attentive, though not especially friendly.

We had a great stay here, and they’re very welcoming to our dogs. The staff are excellent and the service is outstanding. It’s also possible to use a room for company or organizational seminars. With birdsong all around and that fresh country air, it’s a really comfortable place to unwind and get away from it all.

The views around the property and pool are lovely, and the service is good. Breakfast tasted good too, though it came a bit late. Wi-Fi kept cutting out, so they should look for another provider. There aren’t closets in the rooms, just a sort of storage space in the bathroom, and there’s no hot water. Taxis into town cost $8,000 and arrive quickly if you don’t have a car.

The thing we’ll remember most is how much the family and staff at Finca Hotel Heron supported us during a family emergency. They were incredibly attentive throughout our vacation, and we’re deeply grateful. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious, the grounds beautiful, and parking was private. It was easy to reach, and the breakfast was excellent. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it for the hospitality and service. If we come back to Quimbaya, we’ll definitely stay here again.
