Hotel Cabañas American Dream

The hosts were warm, welcoming, and ready to help, and there’s a river right beside the property. It’s a peaceful spot for both relaxing and having fun, with a shared pool. We’d expected a separate cabin, but it’s actually a group of rentable rooms and cabins. Guests share the playground, pool, parking, and main entrance.

A comfortable, roomy stay at a fair price, with a private bathroom, fridge, and TV that has Netflix and YouTube. The hosts gave good service, and parking is free. The pool is nice too, and it’s a good place to switch off and unwind. One thing to know: the windows are mirrored, so at night, when the light is brighter inside, visibility works the other way around. There’s a roll-up blind for privacy.

The bathroom had no water, despite the river being just two meters away. This was nothing like the listing on Booking.com, and it didn’t feel like a hotel. The owner’s service was appalling. The staff seemed well-intentioned and humble, but had no hospitality training.

The cabin was comfortable and had water. There’s very little mobile data signal, though Wi-Fi is available. Mr. Julio and his wife provided excellent service, and everything was very clean. The pool and jacuzzi were great, and there are also billiards, bowling, and games for kids. Five out of five for meeting what they advertise.
