Waking up to the Magdalena River and the calm around this place felt like being in paradise. It’s a family-owned hotel, and the owners give superb personal attention. Coming by car is probably easiest, though you can wait for the bus if you want to go to San Agustín. I had a wonderful stay with my dog at this family-run farm, surrounded by animals and lovely places to walk. The family looked after us so well. I enjoyed the pool, fire pit, and good food, and falling asleep to the sound of the Magdalena river was lovely.

The view stole the show: from our room we could see the Colombian Massif, the Oriental and Central mountain ranges, and the Magdalena River far below, which we could also hear. The room was spotless and the beds comfortable. We also loved the climatized jacuzzi, which honestly felt more like a small infinity pool. Diva and Tulio made the stay so enjoyable. Breakfast was organic, full of flavor and seasonal fruit, and prepared fresh when we ordered.

Diva is a wonderful host and always ready to help, and the local food at the restaurant was delicious. There’s a path down to the Magdalena River, with a stunning view along the way, and plenty of open land with goats, sheep, horses, fish, and other animals. The hotel is beautiful countryside, about 10 minutes by car from San Agustín and the archaeological park and ruins. Highly recommended, you’ll feel at home :)

A lovely place for families to relax together in nature. It’s nicely situated near San Agustin and the upper Magdalena. We’ll definitely come back.
