Hotel Casa De Nelly

We were lucky to find this place. It’s spacious, fresh, nicely decorated, and has lovely gardens. Our room was roomy and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The host was friendly and helpful. It’s a little way from the city center, which keeps it quiet and away from the polluted air from all the motorbikes choking the streets.

The garden has hammocks and daybeds for relaxing, and the kitchen is really well equipped. Showers have hot water and good pressure. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. Such a beautiful, cosy hotel. I’d absolutely recommend it!

I meant to stay a couple of days and ended up there for two weeks. It feels like a home, not a hostel, and the staff are lovely. The beds were clean and care had gone into the rooms. There are books, a great kitchen, and a fire to sit around, plus a beautiful garden with hammocks and swings. You can find quiet spots to exercise or just have some peace, and the village is a 10-minute stroll away, with waterfalls and countryside nearby. It’s very cheap for what you get. The affectionate cats and dogs were happy to sit on my lap all day. For me, it’s easily the best place in San Augustin.

A romantic old house tucked into lovely gardens, with friendly cats and dogs. I spent a few days here resting and resetting after an intense trip through central Colombia. It’s a bit outside town, and the walk uphill takes about 10-15 minutes. One of the most beautiful hostels I’ve stayed in.
